As a pilates teacher, I was taught of a criticizing method once. It’s called the critic burger (Or something like that. Can’t remember the exact name but it definitely has the word burger). Basically, you wedge the criticism in between 2 positive compliments.

For example, someone does something wrong, you start with complimenting what that person is doing right. The you continue with what that person can do better and end it with but overall, you’re doing great. I love the idea and it has worked every single time I used it. The person being criticized always improve.

I like the yin and yang approach as well though. Definitely food for thought. Well said and thank you for sharing!
