I just wish Asian parents would stop doing this. Such a detrimental thing. My parents have adopted completely the opposite attitude. My siblings and I, we were taught that we are each special to our own way and that we all have one thing we’re good at and other things that our siblings would probably be better at. We all excel in quite a number of things, because we were never told that one sibling is better than the other. I hope this prevailing practice of comparing one child to the other would end soon.
