I remember the one Hot Pilates class I had to teach. I received a phone call 30 minutes before the class, informing me my grandpa just had passed away. Though I wasn’t very close to my grandpa, it was still quite a loss. I had to cast my feeling aside, went to the class and taught and somehow I managed to do just that. One hour of just somehow switching my emotion off…

My boss would have understood if I broke down in tears (she’s an amazing human being) but I just couldn’t bring myself to do that. Like somehow I would disappoint her if I did. Now that you bring up the topic, I do think we should be allowed to cry whenever. After all, it’s a human emotion and burying it is never a good idea.
