It’s actually quite common here in Asia for the grandparents to raise the children when the parents are busy working. It’s usually either grandma or the babysitters (it’s not very expensive in Indonesia). These days parenting lesson teaches us that we should bond with our children and not leave them with secondary caretaker but I think some parents just don’t have a choice especially when both parents need to work to support the children (it’s really not cheap). Though both my parents are busy all the time and I was mostly raised by my grandma, I’ve never felt lacking in anything and I absolutely understand why they don’t have time for us. In the end, they are sacrificing for us. I think because we’re so used to my grandma’s presence already since we were young (she used to live with us) 😊

Thank you so much for reading and for the thoughtful response, love! ❤
