My dad has definitely evolved from the old stereotype but my grandpa, for example, my dad’s dad, he’s absolutely the typical Asian dad. No physical nor verbal affection. Showing emotion is weakness, it’s not man. My mom taught my dad quite a lot about how to be a great dad because if he did what my grandpa did, I don’t think we’ll have such a good relationship. Are Western dads like typical Asian dads too?
