Lytle Adams’ whole purpose for the bomb was actually to kill the least amount of people possible. He figured the bats would just burn down buildings and infrastructure. The buildings would burn, but slow enough for people to escape. I guess it was a noble idea, win a war with the least amount of death possible.

Well, it wasn’t as cool as the bat-a-rang or the batmobile ;o)
